Description

PPG Envirobase High Performance Base Tint is a quick and easy-to-use formula. Once mixed with the appropriate products, you'll be able to reproduce your shades as faithfully as possible.

PPG's Envirobase High Performance range offers a wide range of opaque, metallic, pearlescent and special-effect colours. The products are made from modern, top-of-the-range pigments, in line with current and future trends among manufacturers. Its waterborne formula meets the VOC reduction requirements of current European legislation.

Directions for use

Prepare your surface

Sand your primer with the appropriate grit size: for a smooth finish and optimum adhesion, we recommend sanding with a grit size of up to P800 for wet sanding, or P500 for dry sanding. Then remove the dust and grease with a degreasing cleaner such as PPG's D837. Your surface is now clean and ready to receive its first coat of finish.

Prepare your shade

Once you've identified the manufacturer's colour code, prepare your mix of colours with the appropriate auxiliary products, respecting the mixing ratios in the product data sheet (binder, additives, thinners, etc.).

Then pour your mixture into a beaker using a 125µ filter cone to remove lumps and impurities.

Prepare your spray gun

Prepare and set your HVLP spray gun with a 1.2 mm - 1.4 mm nozzle and a pressure of 2 to 2.5 bar.

Apply your paint

  • For small surfaces: apply a normal coat followed by light coats
  • For large surfaces: apply 2 normal coats followed by a light coat
