How do I apply Cromax Pro paint?
Successful application of Cromax Pro paint involves more than just spraying the product. There are a number of steps to follow:
- Start preparing the surface by repairing any dents in your bodywork. You should also sand around the damaged area and apply a degreaser to clean the finish.
- Then apply several thin coats of body filler and leave to dry.
- Once you've found the exact colour of the car, sand the area to be painted.
- Apply a coat of primer. This undercoat will give the finishing paint a good grip.
- Sand the surface to be painted again
- Finally, apply your paint to the bodywork. You can use a spray can held perpendicular to the bodywork to be painted, about twenty centimetres away. Apply thin coats to avoid sagging. The number of layers recommended by the manufacturer is indicated on the labelling of your product. Leave to dry between coats.
